Peter Hay
Peter Hay co-founded of the firm in 1996. Before that he worked in Central London as a partner of a large City firm. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1973 having studied for his solicitors exams at the College of Law in Guildford.
Peter’s areas of expertise covers all aspects of the firm’s work as a property, commercial and private client lawyer concentrating on the personal and commercial affairs of the individual private client, the family and small to medium sized businesses. He has particular expertise in personal taxation including inheritance tax and his experience and contacts are considerable.
Peter has also developed his negotiating skills as an accredited mediator with the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution, which often come into play when advising clients on the terms of Settlement Agreements following termination of their employment.
In the past Peter played rugby for London Scottish and the Anglo Scots, but now enjoys golf at Royal Mid Surrey and Sunningdale. He is married with three children.
